If you are planning on going travelling, one piece of advice you will receive is not to fuck with reps. Trust me, from my experience, it is just not worth it.

Now there is a rep hierarchy:

  1. Promo Wankers
These are the bottom of the hierarchy. They usually are not paid, live in a shared dorm and their job is to make sure you have a good time. They are willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied in all parts of your stay. Now these boys cannot get you free drinks, they don’t even get enough free drinks for themselves from the hostel. They hold no benefit, then possibly a good shag. But darling, are you worth a quickie in the bathroom? And let me tell you something, I promise you that they will not be discrete.
  2. Bar Staff
Now these bad boys are a little higher up. They probably still share a dorm, but they do get paid and will get you loads of free drinks. For the time that you are in their area, you will have loyalty, the early dating experience, invited on staff outings and cockblocked. So, don’t think you’ll be able to be a player if you have bagged one of these. You have the potential here to be wined (maybe even dined) before your multiple quickies in the shower.
  3. Managers
These are the highest of the promo wanker hierarchy. They think they are so successful and have the most important job in the world. They might not be curing cancer, but at some point in their career, they have probably created a great guest experience for the doctors who could. Now here, you will get the girlfriend experience, you will be wined and dined and you will get to stay in a private room. However, you might need to attend therapy afterwards because as soon as you leave they will probably never speak to you again. They will have moved on to the next girl. And if you do get the pleasure of them keeping in contact, be sure to be prepared for a shit tone of gaslighting.

The issue is, they are not bad people, they are just in survival mode. They are so used to people coming and going that they are scared to get attached.

Now don’t get me wrong, they can be good fun. But, do you really want to take the risk on your travels?
